Default Startup 'Pops and Crackles'

While I like the sound of my 2020 F-Type on start up, there are times it is just a little too 'Attention Getting'. Is there a way to shut down this startup sound at least temporarily? Early morning neighbors do not always appreciate my great car.

I feel the same way when leaving early so my solution is to start it with the garage door closed. Apart from building a garage if you don’t have one I don’t have a solution

A simpler solution could be time-based, meaning that it keeps the "loud circuit" disabled for maybe five seconds after being started, then follows all commands normally after that.

Well, the roar of a Jaguar is a noise of nature.

If I play Hotel California in my car the door locks won't allow me out.

A lot of very good(?) solutions, but I was hoping for maybe a software based solution to temporarily switch OFF and On the sound as needed(o.k., I am retired and getting lazy in my Old Age). The UK forum solution looks good for anyone so inclined to do that much work. I will pass on the towel extensions, and maybe "Free Bird" would work.
I guess for the time I will just keep garage doors closed? Most of my neighbors are not up when I am, so I can maybe blame the noise on passing construction trucks. still have a few of those around.
These solutions prove what I have been saying that this is the Best Jag forum. Always a solutions to ANY problem, even if it might not be used.
Thx gang.

The problem is that the valves are kept open by springs, and are closed by engine vacuum (or a vacuum pump on MY14-15). There’s no vacuum available ‘til after the engine is running, so you can’t close them before then.

How about a 12v vacuum pump spliced in with a y-connector to the vacuum hose. Would only require plugging into your cig lighter and using acc on for a while until it builds enough neg pressure for the rare occasions when you need quiet start. Would need more research on what pressure it needs to over come the spring tension and close the valves but definitely do-able DIY if noisy starts really annoy you. When you don’t need it don’t plug it in.

Any vacuum pump will do, and the size of which will determine how long it takes to build up enough vacuum to activate the valves.
