Nice, but what is with the horrible aspect ratio? Makes it look amateurish instead of coming straight from JaguarUSA.

Kinda surprised Michelle had only gone 140 before. Heck this weekend I did 160.

LOL . . . amateurish? That's very high quality, wide-screen footage. The problem is YouTube can't handle it.

Yeah really wish youtube supported SuperUltraExtraCinemaScope aspect ratios. I hear that is the new thing.....all shot in 16x9 of course.

Jaguar and a Fast and Furious star. Hmm. I think it's a bizarre and unpleasant association, but hey, maybe I'm just showing my age. Maybe the marketing guys have proof it'll work, and the car does have that wing...

While I am not a huge fan of the movies, they have helped to create the newest generation of car lovers who will follow us "ol' folks"

Well the Coupe R was in the last movie. Jason Statham's character drives away in one in the opening scene. So not out of left field to have Rodriguez go for a spin.

Sounded like she was drunk or stoned at the start of it.... Ah, problems with "the talent"

You guys....

Here's a clip of a Jag doing 200mph and you're banging on about the aspect ratio and the paid actor.

Nobody cares about the car then eh?

I'm a huge fan of the series and a huge fan of the F-Type. It being in the new movie didn't hurt my decision making process.

LOL, what's there to say about the car? So, it's got an extra 20 mph of top-end speed going in a straight line. ;-)

And it's not even done with the extra 25 horses, it's done with increasing the speed limiter.

We all know the true speed of the car was, at best, low-190 or high-180s corrected.

Does that mean I can tell the cop that pulls me over for doing 80 that I was really doing 60 corrected?

It is still impressive to me, my last 911 a 997 turbo was drag limited to 197mph ... so breaking 200 in a Jag to me is impressive. There are still not that many cars out there that actually can do 200mph from the factory

Don't get me wrong, this is a great car. But the fact that the took off the limiter and had some dopey actress drive it does not motivate me to buy the car or make me decide that my second F-Type should be an SVR

The limiter is set at 200 on the SVR (OK, apparently 201). The F-Type R can go that fast too once the limiter is removed - it's the same car. As for "dopey", I can think of other adjectives; she's almost as beautiful as the F-Type is.

I checked carefully the video @ 200/201mph and saw ~6350rpm at 6th gear.

Tire size. 305/30/20
Final ratio: 2.56:1
6th gear ratio: 1.00:1

The real speed at 6350rpm based on the data above is: 200.8mph
190mph real speed is reached at 6010rpm.

So, they really made 200mph+ )
