Thanks Stuart. I'll give them a call now. We were worried this was another Jaguar OEM mix-up (like the 15s and 16s), with my car being a 2020 as production of 2021s began and knowing they made suspension revisions midyear there.

 

No, they were concerned about the outside diameter of the spring being narrower than the OEM, but it's a different diameter rod, and the taper brings it right up to the inside edge of the perch but it's normal and okay.

 

Beautiful drop, and terrific ride quality. 15mm spacers all around too, and yes I had to trim the threadless bits of each stud on this particular wheel.

 

good customer service SIR! My installer (who would normally be me) was concerned because of how much shorter the VAP coil was, but I assured him they would be spot on and they were.

On a related note, Stuart, do you have a way or know of anyone who was able to add a metal or heavy plastic/rubber seat under the coil to actually raise the car up a bit. I love the drop and I know its minor, but I would love like 3 or 4mm of extra height to balance mine (It dropped lower than most in the front). I realize that anything added would require the coil to come back out, but wondering if there was a simple/elegant or doable option to make them sit a few mm taller. thanks and kudos to you for working with another member again.

Also, the blue car looks ridiculous. I saw one at the dealer on the showroom and that color is freaking awesome. I love my Silver with Black back/black trim, but all that black would look badass with the blue.

 

And... just to add to the situation - we did a test fit on a P450 and the rear springs were different. Given how inconsistent JLR has been, I think we might just go to a 'measure your OEM springs' ordering system? Dollars to donuts the next P450 we try won't have different rears.

 

As a three-peat customer with VAP (two ECU tunes and and their valved exhaust) I will say I have never dealt with a more professional, standup company and their product quality exceeded my expectations. More importantly, their customer service (both before AND after sale) is probably the best I've ever dealt with in 40 years for *any* industry/company, not just aftermarket automotive parts. I have no affiliation with them other than being a repeat satisfied customer.
