They are.

Like the two V6 engines, the 495 and 550HP versions of the V8 engines are identical except for their respective OEM tunes. An aftermarket tune applied to either would have the same power ratings.

My V8S went from 407 to something like 512whp with a pulley and tune. So yes that would be approximately the same as the R with tune.

It looks like we'll have quite a bit of new data to post (VBox, Track and Dyno) from both V8 and V6 F Types in the next two weeks.

The Superflow 2016 F Type R among them, FedEx lost the upper pulley during the last Noreaster so the install and dyno testing was postponed until the 11th.
