This is where i am, ordered the car on November 7th 2017, was ordered early so got the upgrades such as 10" touchscreen at old price, was told it would be in on the 16th of February, dealer informed me then it shows his stock in for 27th February, gave him a ring today for an update, the sales man i was dealing with was off so talked to the sales manager, he said wait till i see, came back with, i can't get through to the factory but i have a VIN number, he will let me know tomorrow. What does i have a VIN number means in terms of delivery, i don't.

 

 

It means that person's dealer has heard from JLR assigning them what is essentially their vehicles "serial number" that will soon be going into, or may already be, in production. If your dealer can't provide you one then it is unlikely that yours is yet scheduled to be built.

 

so by this it seems its going to be March

 

Don't get your hopes up. You could very easily not see your car for months after that if there is a yard hold at the port to fix an issue of some sort. Expect at least some kind of delay. Early production VINs for a new model year almost never show up on time.

 

Which model and colour have you ordered?

 

The new 4 pot, dealer said today it should be in end of next week, same as pics below, caldera red but with red calipers, cirrus leather and suede seats, going to be ceramic coated at dealers and full glass, wheels and inside protection.
