Default Anyone have a clue what this code means/

2000 XK8 Convertable 78K This morning, i was greeted with a code A:3550.4 MLS on the odometer. car runs fine, no check engine light, so I'm hoping is nothing to worrisome (or expensive) thanks

That is just showing the contents of the "A" memory on the trip computer. You may have accidentally hit the switch on the end of the stalk which steps through the trip computer readouts. That also means that memory hasn't been cleared or reset in over 3500 miles.

Thank you - i thought it may have been something like that. Now - i have to find where the reset is!

<p>As DaveinVa mentioned on the end of the stalk for the turn signal is a button you can depress to step through the trip computer indications. &nbsp;to reset the trip computer, there is a series of&nbsp;buttons on the dash just up and to the right of the speedometer&nbsp;</p>

You have to hold the reset button down for a few seconds for the reset to take effect. There will also likely be some mileage buildup in the "B" memory also.

they all are wrong, that is telling you how many more miles you have in the current tank of gas.

Funny guy. Actually it is the altitude the passenger ejector seat is set for. Interesting fact, hitting the hidden button on the gear shift also eliminates the annoying noise from the passenger seat, after the initial scream that is. Here is the training video:
