Thanks all the guys for all the answers.
i decided to go for a 800amps start power. For 4.0 petrol and 3.0 diesel. Basically….. A power bank with a protection and 2 battery clamps. And lantern. 60.000 power.
And after 2 hours of digging around…. All I could do is done.
Almoust all around clear. But I can move it…. Lift the cover and slide it out the rest
I'm sure but not jags
but if you feel it's OK go for it no
Argument
so my humble perspective:
1) have you seen the carnage from driving on roads with salt and gravel? Not great, which I personally never drive during the winter without a serious period of rain after salt has been dropped. The past few winters here in CT have been great, very little snow - this year however everything has been covered in snow and ice. My car will stay dormant and in the garage.
2) these motors, while they have their quirks, are not high strung Italian motors. They are mass produced truck motors
3) periodically starting the car vs letting it sit - while I do understand the whole "don't start it unless you are going to drive it over 30 minutes" concept, you have to consider many of these motors are started and stopped for 5 minute trips every day. More wear? Sure. Will they self destruct? Doubt it. The other thing is, if I am not going to drive my car on corrosive roads for many weeks on end, my only choices are to leave it cold or start it periodically and let it idle for a good while. I fall squarely in the latter camp simply because it refreshes the oil film that clings to the side of the bores. Leave a car for a very long time and that film will degrade, which in my eyes is a bigger concern on the next start.
About 65 euro
….. Will test it soon.
Positives: really light! And compact. Hard case with foam on the Inside.
Minuses : made in prc. Seems…. Just like a normal power bank…. Except it's 60.000 charge capacity! Plastic galore)))
I looked at autodoc for some starting robots….. From about 230 euro and going up hard)))))) probably made in prc also. )))
Good for travel being compact. Wireless charge for phone. It charges by usb phones, tablets, …. Maybe MacBook! Go pro. Maybe drone battery! Also its a lantern.
Guys….. i have to ask again.
looked in youtube and the opinions are devided
So me say that helping the battery start is better from the battery directly, some say it should be done from the front of the car.
Whats your opinion…..?
Some say that charging from the front protects the battery and car circuits because in front you have a breaker pannel( fuse) . And the current is passed through that before feeding the car electronics…. So the cars electronics are protected. On the other side…. Directlyto the battery, the battery and the electronics are not protected
All experienced and advised opinions are wellcomed
Thanks

If by "helping the battery start" you mean hooking up a battery booster or starter pack to start the car, then better to connect directly to the battery. I'm not even sure if hooking up the under-hood terminals will work to start the car.
If instead you mean hooking up a trickle charger or battery maintainer then it makes no real difference other than convenience, except that if connecting to the battery in the trunk you should always connect the negative lead to an earth point and not directly to the battery negative terminal.
I for one prefer to use the under-hood terminals because I have hard wired the maintainer leads to the terminals so that I can plug my maintainer in without even having to unlock the car let alone open the hood or the trunk, takes 5 seconds flat.

i have started the car directly from the bonnet! Couple of times! And yes, the situation in question is about helping the battery to cold start a car that sat for 3 weeks
You can do either. Connect to the dead battery (connect red to the battery and the black to a bare metal earthing point nearby). Or you can connect to any red and black terminals that are connected with thick gauge wire. Ie don't jump through a small tail light wire!
Surprised it needs jumping after 3 weeks. Good battery should do long time!
I've always been warned that winter car storage done right is the biggest favor you can do for your car long term, but mice chewing on your wiring, among other things, is the biggest danger for storing the car for long periods. If you drive it once a week that's probably not an issue, but there are horror stories -- including a friend of mine who considered "totaling" his 918 after the repair bill for mouse damage was first estimated at $38,000. He ended up paying ONLY $26k. I store my F-type in winter and drive at least a couple times a month. During storage the car is surrounded by an intricate pattern of mouse bait, especially near the 4 tires where I'm guessing they crawl up into the engine bay and body. So far so good but I'm slightly petrified on every winter visit to the car until I turn the key and it starts. So unless your storage area is rodent proof, beware the little critters.
1:17 PM Claude responded: Get the NOCO Genius 5 trickle charger. Get the NOCO Genius 5 trickle charger. Red to positive, black to negative on the trunk battery, run the cord out and close the trunk on it. Leave it all winter. For tires get Flat Stoppers foam pads, one under each tire, and inflate 5 PSI over recommended. Fill the tank, add Sta-Bil fuel stabilizer, and put a breathable car cover on it. With the trickle charger you never need to start it all winter.
