Any reason not to connect to SDD with sensors disconnected?

Any reason not to connect to SDD with sensors disconnected?

I just got my Mongoose and v138 SDD and I want to try it today on the car. 2006 STR

But the top of the motor is off for coolant hose replacement so lots of sensors are disconnected.

Would it be ok to connect the Mongoose and look around the SDD program?

Are you comfortable with turning key to Ign II in that situation?

I wouldn't, but I tend to be over-cautious.

Is that the ONLY reason for the dismantling?

Just like JagV8, I tend to be over-cautious. With questions on the forum, it's often the missing details that are the most important. Your enthusiasm for trying out your new Mongoose should really be of secondary importance to getting the car back together. There could be a missing subtext here.......?

Well I went out to the shop with the computer but then decided against it. Too much more to do. So I disconnected the fuel rail and removed it to clean the injectors.

I know I wont go to Ign on with the fuel rail disconnected!
