Where would I find the VIN on a 1959 3.4 liter Mark 1 Jaguar? Have located a plate mounted inside the engine compartment on the right wheel well which gives me the car no., body no., engine no., gearbox no., etc.. Please help. My Dad lost the Title & we would like to sell this auto. Thanks for your help.

 

It is probably titled using the car number or body number

The "VIN" system we know today didn't exist back then
