It takes about 3 or more hours to load GHOST, 42a and 43 into the Hard Disc Drive.
HDD needs to be larger than 3.2gb for Jaguar software. (3.2 is OK for Ford 43)

I have been using 8gb compact flash cards and 44 pin adapters
https://www.newegg.com/p/1B4-038E-00367

Easier than trying to find 4 to 8gb 2.5" HDDs.

The BIOS will only recognize 8.4GB or less so it is useless the use larger drives.

i'm playing with the possibility of removing some windows 98 fluff like Plus! etc, seeing if i can free up enough space to pull it off while i'm waiting on the adapter, but yeah, CF seems to be the best option, unless i find a couple obsolete micro drives. The prices of 6gb drives are ridiculous right now, wish i'd kept some of my surplus.

I like to keep several 8gb CF cards and adapters so that when Windows 98 CRASHES (not if, WHEN) I just plug in another card and go on!!

You can get some additional USB adapters to do DEFRAG with another Windows computer (XP or 7) and plug the CF card into a more modern/faster one.

I can add files or DEFRAG with my Windows 7 laptop USB adapter faster than the Pentium I 233 GenRad 3500 can.
