Upgrade water pump xjr? Aluminum Thermostat housing?

Default Upgrade water pump xjr? Aluminum Thermostat housing?

When I go in to change the thermostat to a lower temp, should I also change / upgrade the water pump?

Is this the upgraded water pump you guys would recommend? Jaguar 4.0L V-8 Water Pump & Gasket 97-03

The XJR already has an aluminum housing, and there is no need to change the pump form your year. If you want to, make sure you avoid metal impeller ones, and go for a stock one, like this for $75:

You should get a prize for being so helpful

Is the water pump for me 2002 XJ8 also ok and not need changing (design wise)? It just turned 40K miles
