Breaking the air dam or the dam air conversation off for the time being.
Airplane (oops I said that air word again) cockpit. I would apologize for my antagonistic sarcastic sense of humor, but then I wouldn't be me.

Likely just leather.
Remember, two seats & a roll bar.
(Two turntables and a microphone, it's where it's at)
Wood, no carpet, maybe, maybe coco mats , canvas door panels.

OEM speaker bracket is pictured. It's stamped "England", of course. Where did they find the time to make the stamp, and stamp the parts? Inquiring minds want to know.

I guess it comes from the days when manufacturers still did things to the best of their ability and not just as cheap as possible.

A bit of duct tape and that speaker will be up and running again!

Trunk floor reconstruction, fuel cell mounting are near finished. Switched back to working on tail pipes tonight. Aluminum radiator to replace the wooden one should be here in a week or so.
My AME salesman said I should cover the tank in leather and install a suitcase handle.

Scatcat,
That's funny. You got me for a minute on the one. I'm Going which old tool is laying around in the pictures.
Just wait till I cut the ends of the right and left dash off and reglue them to clear the roll cage.
I use to use a pocket knife and heat it with a candle to modify plastic model cars.

Left tail pipe tacked. Still have to design hangers to keep it from twisting. Pipe is oval, 3" round equivalent.

Default Exhaust 99%, radiator arrived

Good evening,
Lost last week to a head cold. Better week this week.
Thanks for all the compliments. Credit goes to "Mike the Magnifico". He's the one doing the exhaust layout, and all of the current welding. I'm just ordering parts, polishing old fastners, and sweeping the floor.

Exhaust is 99% finished. A little clean up with a brake hone in the merge collectors is necessary for final fit. "O2" bungs are installed and the lock tabs for the header tubes to the merge are complete. I've included a couple of shots of the tail pipe hangers. I'll try to lay this set up out on the floor so you can view it off the car. The entire system is 304 stainless.

Radiator is here. Minor additional carving, and removal of Alternator, P/S pump and water pump was necessary to slip the radiator into the car. I don't foresee any cooling issues.
Thanks for looking!
Cheers

CS,
Thanks.
The radiator itself is 31" wide x 16.5" tall & 3" deep. It's two row, with 1" tubes. Fans are 12 or 13", I'd have to check. The fans move over 3000 CFM or air. It sits in at 7 degree tilt. There are two 16 -AN fittings taking water in from the heads, and a 1 1/4" lower feeds the electric pump. Small bungs are for the drain, anode, and fan temp probe. The Prefered location for the probe is behind one of the head outlets, so the one on the outside right might just be a plug.
Should be big enough to cool 700+ HP.
The engine compartment air exits are between the footwells and the inner fenders. They are big enough to hide 2-4 of Tillyjon's stuffed dogs.

Default Inner fender removable panels, headers out of car

Greetings,
Removable access panels are made for the inner fender. These are big enough to allow removal of the radiator and fans as a unit. Also included in a shot from the top of the entrance to the "air exit" between the wheel well and the foot well. Ahead of the front jacking box you can see the where the air exits under the car from the engine compartment.

Engine block and heads are a the machine shop waiting in line. A few parts still need ordered: lifters, push rods, and most gaskets. Road trip coming to Cometic to have the intake scanned for gaskets.

Also included are some shots of the headers out of the car. They are not equal length tubes. They are difficult to do in a "chassis car", and pretty much impossible with this application.

Thanks for looking.

Default been awhile

Greetings,
Still here.
Buying parts for the wiring, and widgets from my new favorite widget shop - McMasterCarr. Scheduled next in line at the roll cage shop. Not quite sure what that means, the guy is VERY busy.
Engine build is underway. It took me four, maybe five part time days to debur the block. Smoothed out all oil passage entrances and exits. Finish hone is complete. Crank is balanced. Next up crank fit, and deck clearance check for final deck.
Reinstalling all roll cage interference items - seats, steering wheel, wood, visors, pedals, some dash brackets and maybe the wood.
Calipers mounted and center on the rotor checked.

Cheers,
