I wish to remove the gear selector shaft which runs the entire length of the steering column. The parts book does not show this version. I am confident that the parts book drawings are RHD and while there is a LHD part number and description it is not illustrated. Has anyone removed this part?

I believe that it separates at the switch lever but I am reluctant to use the necessary force. It must be corroded together. See photos.

 

just undo all the nuts bolts screws till it all drops off,
that's what I did,
