Default Jaguar MK2 seats

Hi to everybody
I am looking for second hand Jaguar MK2 seats with foam and spring in good condition.
I have the leather covers.
Would you have inputs and/or adresses to contact.
My best regards
Gérard

Best of luck in finding 60 year old seats in good condition
I have had seats refurbished with new springs and foam with local upholsterers.
These people are used to respringing lounges etc.
Worth a try.

Don’t give up. I managed to find a set of original recliners. You may have to purchase foams too. 60 year old foam has lost all its resistance. The backrests use horsehair which is usually reusable with a new foam top layer. I found mine on the biggest Dutch second hand site so you just have to keep searching.

I suggest getting in touch with local restoration upholsters.
They don't have to be automotive as there is a lot of restoration in chairs, lounges and similar household items
They are typically aware of modern foams which can be substituted for the old foams Jaguar used in their seats.

Having spent at least 10 years rebuilding the suspensions of junky Natuzzi furniture, it's not the foam that fails, it's the suspension underneath it that fails, like the springs.
Weak springs allow the foam to stretch beyond its capacity and it tears internally.

Jeff - We have 4 Natuzzi armchairs, a remarkable combination of genius and total rubbish. Working on them qualifies you to repair anything. Is there a Natuzzi forum?

No forum that I know of, and I did take a quick look just out of curiosity, but it was pretty vague.
Here is the one and only Natuzzi video of the problem, the guy was asked by Natuzzi to take down the video, but he refused.

Ironically I had hundreds if not thousands of damning photos of all the problems to make warranty claims through the company for our customers.
I was tempted to keep them, but my boss convinced me otherwise.

The webbing has to be replaced along with a good quality foam, not the cheap crap that Natuzzi uses.
Then with the extra tension of the new webbing, the particle board has to be reinforced.
All this can be carried out once the leather cover is removed, that's where the skill comes in _ putting the leather back on properly.
I was literally tearing apart the stuff down to the bones, and rebuilding them.
I got pretty good at it, I could take out around 1 to 2000 staples and rebuild a sofa in about 8 to 12 hours, so a day to a day and a half.

Don't want to turn this thread into a DYI Natuzzi project, P.M. me if you want info.

maybe putting a bag of carbon fiber cloth around the foam will prevent the springs from tearing it?
