Default MK2 3.8 Engine rebuild - Alive again!

I have not provided many updates on my restoration progress lately, but yesterday provided an occasion worth sharing. I know these things are pretty much all alike and pretty boring to everyone except the owner, but hit the link below and you will witness the initial start-up of my 1964 Jaguar MK2 3.8. We balanced everything that could be balanced and the results show - very smooth runner. Still have tuning to do and a few minor leaks to fix, but I would have to say that the start-up was a successful event.

the password for the video is jaguar - all lower case.

Lin

A thing of beauty indeed Lin. Where did you get the brackets to mount the Sanden A/C compressor? Inquisitive minds wish to know!

The bracket and the compressor came from RetroAir/Mr. jaguar. Just check his website if you are interested. I don't think he will sell individual components, just full kits.

I almost creid when I started mine up after all those years. The sound to me was awsome(magnified by the stainless pipes), after that I ran it when I got a bit fed up with the progress.
