Hello everyone,
Just found a 1988 XJSC V12 sitting in a garage,
orginal 1 owner. The car is black with light tan interior.
93,000 miles,Looks great
after 2 years sitting, fresh gas and new battery and she fired right up.
any advise, Car will not be a daily driver, more like a once a week.
Thank you

Welcome to our world of motoring.

NICE find.

Post in the XJS area and the "to do list" will arrive and be long, so sort what you want.

Also at the top of the forum area is a lot of "stickies" that will help you no end.

My suggestions for starters are:

Cooling system, lots of items, and it must be 100% no matter how many times it does/dose not get used.

Fuel hoses, waaaaaay above the #1 on the to do list, V12's catch fire regularly from them.

I will stop there and let the others add as they see fit.

Welcome to the forum Cubancat,

Follow Steve's link to the XJS tech section for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top there is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Enjoy the forum.

Graham
