2002 X type 3.0 manual
Heryone. I am new. I live in ny. I purchased my car in 2006. I never had a problem until
two weeks ago. It had 28,000 miles, now 64,000. I
drove it one day, it drove well. The next day it wouldn't make a sound.
The dashboard light was the only signal i got. Can some one help me. I am very confused.

Generally No, capacity and physical size are the primary criteria for service. But you do need to make sure the charging system is doing its job for the battery. Do you have any powered accessories that may have been left on?
With 1 year under its belt, go back to the folks that sold you the battery, prorating should keep most of your pennies in your pocket.
As an example, last week, a 1 year old Battery on my Wing, with only 8K of riding with it, failed similarly; can happen at any time. The previous battery gave me 6 years and 60K miles of service.
