What DTCs are stored in the system causing the MIL to come on?

Welcome to the forum jdoughterty1535,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

Throwing parts at a Jaguar is a very expensive method of troubleshooting. The MIL is only triggered by a limited number of codes. If you haven't already done so, have the codes read and post them in the model forum for advice on possible causes.

Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...-x350-x358-28/ to the X350 forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the US Southwest Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/us-southwest-37/ to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham

The OEM Denso direct coils can be purchased from Rock Auto for around $35/each. I see no reason to risk the 4.2L engine with Chinese knock-offs. But it is the owners' choices.

Good suggestion but he is long gone! Just another hit and run on the forum.
I never understood why people would post a question then get some answers BUT never return to finish the thread??
Did the car get fixed? Did he get rid of it?

All good questions. Yes, too many fly-bys in the past, but they slowed down a bit. It looks now that we have a lot of newbies coming on board. I think those of us who have been on the Forums for some time are eager to help and the volume of brain power here is immense. Too bad some folks will ask for help then go into radio silence.

yeah i noticed a lot more new members and intros myself along the 1998 to 2006 model year cars. Must say something about that run that is desireable. Easy to get in a jaguar initially in that range. Then the roller coaster starts. Right
