I’ve been lurking on the forum for a while, I guess it’s time to introduce myself.
Bought a 2005 XK8 with 51,000 miles on it in Des Moines while on a RV trip to Wisconsin. My wife had/got to drive it the 700 miles to home in Colorado.
I had to do the front brakes when I got it home, but other than that and a couple of minor issues like missing access doors in the front fender wells, I have been able to find nothing wrong either mechanically or cosmetically. I’ve driven it about 3,000 absolutely trouble free miles in the last three months.
It sounds like you've already found your way to the XK8/XKR forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.
Please add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
If you haven't done so already you should add your car details to your signature to help others to help you.
