Default 2010 XF ground wire

Hi all

I’ve recently bought my first Jaguar, a 2010 XF S Premium Luxury V6.
I removed battery a few days ago to charge, I’ve done this now but it was dark when I removed the battery and I can’t remember the location of where I connect the ground wire

I know it’s a stupid question to most but I want to make sure I am doing correctly

many thanks

Mark

Welcome to the Forums.

The ground wire is the earth, and connects to the Negative terminal of the battery. As to its other end, no idea, usually a chassis earth stud.

The XF (X250) Tech Section will have more specific answers for you.

Good luck.

Welcome to the forums Mark,

Top illustration is the battery negative terminal connection. Lower one shows where the other end of the cable connects to the body. Torque for the terminal connection is 6Nm and for the body connection is 9Nm.
