Hi everyone,

Last Friday I picked up a very clean, well documented and beautifully maintained 1999 Jaguar XJR, black, with the oatmeal colored interior, updated with a set of the 7-spoke asteroid wheels. It's a car that's been on my wish list for many years and finally the right one came along.

It joins my current stable of a '99 Audi A4 2.8 quattro manual, a '64 Lincoln Continental project car and a '78 Kawasaki KZ750 cafe motorcycle.

I look forward to being part of the community and hopefully gaining some wisdom about these wonderful cars.

(And if anyone happens to read the site Jalopnik.com, yes, I'm the Ben Wojdyla that's the Detroit Editor)

I saw your post on Jalopnik and never really thought I'd see you here too. Congratulations Ben, beautiful XJ. Exactly what I'll probably get when I'm done with (or possibly in addition to) my XK8.
