Default Another Austin TX new member

Hi all, just joined the forum and found it full of useful information – will be posting my first question about my options for transmission fluid when I figure out the right place.

I recently bought my first Jag, a 2007 XJ8L with 42000 miles on it, one lady owner etc, absolutely love the car but it needs a couple of things fixing and cleaning up. Headlining is drooping a bit in the back and the transmission oil cooler lines are weeping (hence my question)

I plan to do the transmission oil cooler lines myself as I am lucky enough to have a MaxJax lift in my garage but will get the headlining done professionally (if anyone can recommend a good place in Austin for that, please do so).

I live in Austin TX and am a certifiable car nut, in addition to the Jag I have a 2007 Boxter, a 66 Corvette, a 2007 GTI and an F150

Looking forward to lots of reading and contributing as much as I can.

I can see you've already found your way to the X350 tech forum so there's no need for a link to it from me.

Welcome. I'm into Corvettes too. I have a 69 that I enjoy taking to local car shows and am about 2/3rds way through the process of a body-off restoration of a 72 in hopes of achieving a "Top Flight" from NCRS. I've really enjoyed the Jaguar because its so incredibly smooth on the blacktopped cattle trails that Fort Worth has the audacity to call city streets.

Thanks, yes, i love my Corvette too - nothing like a convertible Corvette on a sunny day.

I am new to Jaguar, which is kinda crazy as i am English but i just took mine down to Houston to see the Mecum actions and it drove like a dream, amazingly smooth and comfortable. I am definitely becoming a Jag convert.
