Another new member.
Hi all,
This is my first post, to say hello, and thanks for letting me in.

I had my first Jag over 30 years ago. I swapped a motorcycle for it. It was a bit of a banger (perhaps a lot of a banger) and used (burnt!) a gallon of oil per 100 miles! It wasn't very eco friendly. It had been originally a Green Sand colour, but someone had resprayed it with British Leyland Harvest Gold. The back seats were covered in straw as if someone had carted bales around in there. I obtained it about a year before petrol went up to £1.00 a gallon! I wish it would go back to that price now!
I had my second Jag about 1990. It was a black XJ12 auto. I loved that car. My kids loved to be taken to parties and picked up in it. The car phone wasn't connected, but they liked to pretend that it was a working phone!
I now have a black 4.2 XJ8 auto (95,000 miles). I love it as much as the XJ12. My wife and I will be taking it out for a drive to Eastbourne tomorrow for my favourite hobby, which is driving somewhere and eating out..... especially lunch!

Catch you later!
Ted

Ted,
Welcome to the forum! I'm a new member here too. I'm a longtime XJ40 owner, but we recently acquired an '04 X350 XJR which is probably very similar to your car, and we love it.
Cheers,
Don
