Aus Jag xj6 s1
Hey,
Just about to purchase a series 1 Jaguar XJ6 (1969). I've loved these cars for years the fear of technical problems has put me off honestly. It literally took a nudge to be here and some luck. My daily was written off so i need to buy another car, i was looking at more modern cars but stumbled across an xj6 in great condition and i was in love.
It has a 350 chev in it, i dont mind this i think it makes it more reliable. I pretty handy and always serviced/ repaired my own cars so i dont really expect that to change. I have a larger vision in mind for this car but more about that another time.

Welcome to the forum itchyback,
Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.
I can see you've already found your way to the XJ6 Series I, II & III forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.
Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
You can also visit the Australia - Queensland Region forum by following this link Australia - Queensland - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to find other members in your region.
Enjoy the forums.
Graham

Wow, Glenn,
+1 to what Elinor said. Man, you have catapulted straight into XJ6 heaven up there in Clarke's back yard. Dive in and enjoy . . . yell, if you have questions . . . brag loud and tell huge lies like the rest of us here in Oz, and you will certainly be among friends.
I thought, with a couple of late model Jags, I had got all this XJ6 & 12 nonsense out of my system with the departure of our much loved V12 Daimler VDP many years ago . . . and woke up today with a brand new 37yo Series3 I just had to save for the next generation. My kids don't know whether to laugh, cry . . . or have me certified! It's great to keep 'em guessin'.
I trust your Jaguar experience is equally rewarding!
Cheers,

Ken
