Default CAC 6739

I'm new to this forum. I have purchased a 1994 XJ12. I have spent lot of time and $ to get rid of a raw Fuel smell. Lastly was a new Charcoal canister CAC 6739. It has three ports, the two outer ports are the same diameter, the middle port is smaller and go to the tank. The canister is not labelled as to where the two outer ports go. One is supposed to go to the engine intake, the other left open to vent. Parts manual shows right port to intake, but the maintenance manual shows the left port to the intake. Any ideas?

Welcome.

I have no answer for that, as typo errors are rife in the manual's world.

I reckon a quickie repost in the XJ40 section should get a decision.

Welcome to the forum Rick,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

I can see you've already found your way to the XJ40 forum so there's no need for a link to it from me.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the US Southwest Region forum by following this link US Southwest - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum
to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham
