Default First Jag

Hey all,

New to the forums, and to Jags. Just bought an old 91 xj6 sovereign for less than a grand, and am in the process of getting it to be reliable, which unfortunately seems harder than I thought since it keeps giving me issues with no-cranks. Once it is running, it's beautiful and smooth and drives excellent! It's got 240,000 km on it, and the tech at Britsh Auto Specialists said he was surprised how good it runs for the highish mileage.

No surprises that many of the electrics have failed, but it's not my daily driver so I'll be able to do most of the repairs myself, even if they take a while.

Anyway, I've already posted a thread (in the wrong forum of course, oops. Thanks Mod) about another no crank issue, hoping to get her up and running and reliable soon! Thanks in advance for any advice!

There's nothing quite like the first one, is there.
You'll have Such fun learning all about the quirks of Jaguars, and while driving a Black one at that!

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.

Welcome to the forum Doovoe,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

I can see you've found your way to the XJ40 tech forum so there's no need for a link to it from me.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham
