Default First Jag, First XJS and First V12

Hello everyone!

Recently completed the purchase of a 1992 XJS V12 convertible.

It’s Arctic Blue with a dark blue top and blue interior. Absolutely stunning to look at.

I bought it online…somewhat accidentally. Unfortunately it’s a mess under the hood. Lots of wiring issues, wrong plugs, etc. I’m already tearing into it but the further I get the more I find. And I’m currently without a garage so that kinda stinks.

Anyway I’ll have it back in tip running order hopefully in the not too distant future. Can’t wait for that day…deserves to be out being driven for sure!

Cheers,

NJ

Welcome to the forums Jag Nigel,

Good to have you with us.

I can see you've already found your way to the XJS forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues. You can also use the US Lower Atlantic Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/u...r-atlantic-66/ to find other members in your region.

Please read the guidance for new members ( https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/n...ned-up-241802/ ) which answers many of the most frequent questions about getting started.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham

Thanks everyone!

Car is really gorgeous. I get compliments on it all the time…funny thing is it’s usually younger folks in their 20s or 30s who tell me how nice it is.

Already seeing many of the issues with these cars that keep folks up at night and I have A LOT to still go through but in the end I know it’ll be worth it and actually welcoming the challenge (well most of it anyway).

Graham thank you for the pointers and I’ll be looking around the local scene as well.

Cheers!

Welcome to the Forums.

I had the same with a PreHE many years ago, was getting a Chev V8, got abandonned, so I stole it and put a V12 back in. Wiring under the bonnet as zero, so 1st thing was a BIGGER Beer Fridge, problem solved, Took just over 6 months part time.

Well wort the effort, trust me.

Good luck.

Hello, Nigel,
Congratulations on your First Jaguar XJS!
One like yours (but in BLACK!) is the only XJS I would consider owning. Good Job!

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.
