Default Fresh 2001 XKR owner

Hello,

I am very proud new owner of a 2001 XKR convertible in British Racing Green. I love the car, it seems to have been pretty well maintained in accordance with the official Jag guidelines, however it doesn't appear that any preventive work has been done: still has the plastic chain tensioners, no gearbox oil change, etc..
The car has 160.000 km and although it runs well and everything works, I am a bit nervous about when something will hit me :-) So my goal is to gradually have the preventative maintenance done (it appears to be way too many things to have them done at once) and I will be looking for advice. My first goal is to replace the timing chain tensioners along with the chains and guides.
I am from Slovenia, where there aren't many experienced Jag mechanics, and I don't have the place nor the time to work on the car by myself (except maybe small things). So I will be looking for advice on some independent specialist in the vicinity (Austria, most likely).

Best regards,
Jure

Hello, Jure,
You have a Beautiful Jaguar!
Experienced owners in here however, recommend taking care of those timing chain tensioners right away, as they're ticking time bombs.
Welcome to the forums from ElinolrB.
