Louie here, I currently have a 2015 F-type coupe and a 2004 X-type 3.0; the x is my project car. My dad is 81 and I really wanted to have a hobby with my old guy and figured this was a good excuse to spend time with him.. Specially, cause you all probably know how grumpy some seniors get.. But he is still my dad.

Thanks to your threads I have so far been able to figure out how to unlock my xtype with battery drained, fixed the battery light issue, and realized why the car had a funky smell (cabin filter changed). So thankyou so much for this forum and I do have a few more issues with the x-type that i will post soon.
Thanks again for making such a great self-less help community; its great to see and be part of helping others and being helped.. We should always pass the good deed forward. Cheers.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

I did that same thing with my Dad a very long time ago with an Original S Type 3.4ltr. PRICELESS.
