Thank you for adding us to your group. We are in the final stages of purchasing an XKR. It is a 2003 with 59000 miles. We had the car inspected by Jaguar and it seems in very good condition. They changed the brake fluid at that time so one less thing to worry about.
We are both retired and moved to Florida from the cold North, Colorado. Jack was a pilot all his life and loves speed, as do I. I have been reading on your forum and these cars seem to have all the same problems that simply come with age. We have been driving two Chrysler Crossfires SRT's and I have learned to do a lot of things that just need doing. Not a mechanic but always worth a try...
I will post pictures as soon as we have the car home . Both very excited and loving this car of our dreams.

Welcome, I am a relative newbee here maybe 6 weekss I have an old XJS. I live a little south of you, Bonita Springs. Moved here 3 years ago and bought the Jag about the same time. I will mention that there is a local jaguar club ( I am currently not a member) and the SWF British car club also in the area.

I can see you've already found your way to the XK8/XKR tech forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.
Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
