Default Greetings and salutations

As a new member I just wanted to say a friendly hello to the fine women and men of the forum.

I am not yet a Jaguar owner but in a couple of days I will--hopefully, knock on wood--be the proud owner of a blue 2009 Jaguar XF Luxury with the naturally aspirated 4.2 liter V8 engine.

I'm looking forward to becoming a regular contributing member of this forum.

Cheers!

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

I can see you've already found your way to the X250 tech forum so there's no need for a link to it from me.

Instead of starting a new thread I will shamelessly update my old thread.

My purchase of the above mentioned 2009 Jaguar XF 4.2 never happened because life got in the way, as it sometimes does. Fast forward seven months and life is once again back to normal (whatever normal is) and I took the leap and bought my much longed-for XF.

Instead of a naturally aspirated 2009 Jaguar XF 4.2 I ended up with a supercharged 2010 Jaguar XF 5.0. Oh boy this thing is fast! 470 HP is about 170 more than anything else I have owned before.

The power-delivery is very smooth though -- it is not violent, like getting kicked in your back like in a Corvette -- but rather a smooth surge that glues you to the seat.

Anyway, I really don't have much to add, I simply wanted to share my excitement.

Cheers everyone.
