Default Greetings from St. Petersburg

Hi everyone! I'm owning X-Types since 2003. Fell in love with this car at a glance during dealer presentaion in January 2001. Bought the first one in 2003 although I was originally aiming at Mazda3 MPS. It's amazing how this piece of art by Geoff Lawson deals with time: the car is not getting outdated or obsolete, it's just more loosely rests in a league of its own while a bunch of generic competitors are mimicking each other (sadly, XE is among them now). Gliding through the modern city X-Type attracts the same attention as some luxury supercrossover.
I don't know how long I'll be able to keep pouring time, money and all kinds of emotions into this car but by far it's ok. The only regret I have is that I hadn't turned my recent X-Type into low-mileage summer-weekend-driver to preserve it in excellent condition as long as possible. Due to family issues the car had to be driven on daily baisis for several years in heavy road and climate condtions. Now it has a strong backing support in the face of Volvo XC70 but 55 000 miles made their job. I'm submerging into battlling with various mechanical issues and electronic glitches but I hope to win with the help of your forum.

Welcome to the forum Leonidas,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

I can see you've already found your way to the X-Type forum so there's no need for a link to it from me.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the Other Areas Region forum by following this link Other Areas - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum
to find other members in your part of the World.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham
