Talking Hello From Branson Missouri

Hi Jaguar fans ! Well never thought I'd end up with a Jaguar when I was really looking for a 4x4 for the winter down here and something to carry a kayak. But trucks down here are overpriced and well the Jag was AWD and a decent price and well it's pretty and I can get a roof top carrier for the kayak (goto the river in style and put the jeeps to shame). Lol, So I jumped.. So far it's got some issues and a lot of miles but nothing that's to serious.. I've turned wrenches since I was 13...tractors, motorbikes snowmobiles etc. Most cars have been Detroit iron v8s but did have a fun Porsche 914 and an Audi. I love the way it handles and drives but the trans seems to be a bit shifty being a 5 speeds auto. Guess I'll get used to it. I understand the x-type has a bit of a checkered past and is considered a ******* child being part Ford. I hope others don't look down upon us x types. Everyone has that one goofy relative right ? :-). Happy Motoring !

Hello, Dave,
When you think about it, Any car that's 12 years old is beginning to have problems, especially if they weren't loved by their previous owner.

And really, what do you care about its parentage? It'll put the Jeeps to shame as you mentioned.

Far from looking down on X-types, we have a Very active X-type section, here:
X-Type ( X400 ) - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum
You'll find lots of help for your Kittie's problems, and people to just hang out with too.

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.

Welcome to the forum Dave,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

We have a very loyal bunch of X-Type owners here. It's a lot of car for the cash.

Follow Norri's link in post #6 to the X-Type forum for help, advice and information.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham
