Default Hello from Connecticut!

Hi all! I've been lurking around for a while, and finally joined. My 1972 XJ6 is my first Jaguar and first project car; after a year of seeing it parked outside, I found out it was a stalled project that didn't run and decided to rescue it. I'm determined to bring this formerly pampered show car back to her glory, and am working towards getting her running. The list is long- interior cleanup, windshield seals, fix the leaky old fuel pumps, lots of fluids, not sure how many gaskets and seals need work, tires and brakes, and probably quite a bit more. I sell Jaguar, though my daily driver is an Audi that was a souvenir from my last store, and I'm a lifelong car nerd!

Despite a year outside, very little rust.

Now, safe in my garage. Old failed windshield seal is out.

Welcome to the forums purplegoldcat,

Good to have you with us.

Looks in better condition than my XJ6 Series I did by 1975! The English climate was very hard on early XJ's.

I can see you've already found your way to the XJ6 & XJ12 Series I, II & III forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues. You can also use the US Northeast Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/us-northeast-35/ to find other members in your region.

Please read the guidance for new members ( https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/n...ned-up-241802/ ) which answers many of the most frequent questions about getting started.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham
