Hello!! First Post
Hello all,
I'm Andy101 (original or what!?).
I've joined to look at share ideas and get some advice on my vehicle. Over he past 6.5yrs I've been building a replica XK120 from XJ6 components- it's a kit car designed by Autotune UK.
Before I started this project I knew NOTHING about cars and mechanic-ing, it's been a steep learning curve, but a very enjoyable one. I recognise I have limitation in experience, hence joining here.
I managed to use the car as my wedding car 4w ago which was a proud moment. She has a 4.2 straight 6 engine with twin SU carbs that I fitted having swapped out the EFI and ECU to make things simpler.
Looking forward to gaining some advice from you all on various topics.

Congratulations on your wedding first of all.
Second, one of our Jag club members had a Concourse quality XK120 roadster for many years, but it was *Spartan* compared to yours!

Interesting project. I kind of got the Jaguar bug decades ago when I was about 8 or 9 and my uncle had an XK120, green of course with a tan leather interior. I remember he sold it for a mere $3,000; if only I'd been a few years older, that's about what I paid for the car I drove through college. Values of the real thing have unfortunately continued to elude me and $3,000 today wouldn't even go very far towards a replica.
