Hi all you Jag enthusiasts,
I am new here and I am very close to own a 2001 XKR Coupe (so no pictures yet) in a very nice and functional condition (1-owner car with high mileage). The final decision will come with the next days.
Hoping to find guidance in case of minor problems and (hopefully not major) issues. In any case your forum knowledge is much appreciated and I am looking forward to an interesting communication.

Hello, Bill,
I would rather buy a One Owner Jag with high mileage than one owned by several people with the same mileage. One never knows what the Other owners might have done or not done, whereas the Original owner will have a very good idea what's been done or not.
Wow, this was a long, long way to own my first XKR!
After joining this forum in April I directly made the deal. This was linked to several bug fixes, but some seemed to be serious due to the availability of parts.
Biggest problem: control unit replacement for the adaptive cruise function + wiring loom adapter. Maybe the spare part situation is better in the US or UK than in Germany.
All other issues and weaknesses are solved now (tank ventilation, new rear axle cage, new brake discs, new suspension bushes, new chain tensioner, thermostat + housing, new headliners, new tires, new headlamp, new generator).
The first 100 km didn't show any problem. Let's hope this will continue for a while . . .
None of the issues you mention are unusual with the X100 but you have had more of them than most buyers. Good to hear you've got them sorted and are now enjoying driving the vehicle.
I had a 2001 XK8 Coupe in the same colour combination. One of my favourites.
