Default Hello from Idaho

Thanks for the ad, I brought a rescue home last weekend so I guess that officially makes me a Jaguar owner, I'm not entirely sure what I will do with it yet other than get it out of the weather and start cleaning on it and addressing the obvious. It did load on the trailer under it's own power with no funny noises so I am very optimistic about about getting it road worthy again.

Hello,
Your Poor Car, give its all only to be virtually abandoned!
And how kind of you to bring it home and give it a roof.
Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.

Thanks. So far the known mechanical issues are plugged cats, heat damage from cats, FI lines leaking, new brake pads in the trunk so..., window seals dry rotted. They did actually treat the leather so it is in really nice condition but, stitching dry rotted. It does look to be original paint, 98% rust free, and no major body damage.

Welcome to the forums mtlmgc,

Good to have you with us.

"..... on the trailer under it's own power" - you're already way ahead of the point at which many of our members start their XJS restorations!

Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/xjs-x27-32/ to the XJS forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

You can also visit the US Western Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/us-western-38/ to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham
