Default Hello, possible new owner lurking

Hi there

I am in the market for a new workhorse, and one of the finalists is a Diesel X Type Estate.

So I've found my way here to do some research on them to help me make my decision.

Been looking at them for a couple of weeks now and should be in a position to buy in the next two weeks so just need to do my homework Getting excited about that new car feeling already

Cheers

Cheers, I have a picture in my mind of the perfect one but only have limited time to wait for it to come up and not sure exactly when I will get the cash (redundancy payout)

I'd LOVE a green or dark grey estate with full cream leather interior and 16" MAYBE 17" wheels, don't want 18" but regardless of that the best two closest to me seem to be near Birmingham, over 50 miles away.

So I looked for a local one of any body type just to go and have a sit and see if I like it and found one just down the road from me, saloon and a light blue, I thought EWWWWW, but then I got there, I saw it and thought WOW that's gorgeous, but I really wanted an estate, but it's GORGEOUS, and it's opened my eyes up to another colour

Well, I took that car above for a test ride last Thursday.

It's a lovely car but when they started it from cold it had a knocking noise, definitely not the sound covers or anything like that and it wasn't in rhythm with the engine, it was slightly random but every couple of seconds there was a knock or two.

It wasn't a 'bottom end' sound and it did disappear when the engine had warmed up. They said they were going to take it to the garage to inspect.

It was really nice though, cracking interior, I definitely do want an X Type now

But things have been put back a bit so won't be until the end of April begining of May until I can look
