Default Hey Everyone! I became a Jag owner yesterday!

Yesterday I bought a beautiful 2001 Jaguar XKR Convertible. 33,500 miles. She looks and runs like a dream. I would love to keep her in pristine condition for the next 20 years.

Now I need some advice from all of you experts!

1) What's the best way to keep the paint from getting little nicks in the front? Does anyone use those transparent film bras to protect the front?

2) What products do you use to wash the exterior panels, wheels, chrome, and the fabric top?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Steve

The thing that works best for me is to keep the wife out of it. Every time she brings it back there is a new scratch or ding in it...lol I use mothers polish and ice spray wax, it works good.

Welcome, I can see why you both have big grins. She does look fine.

Best way to prevent stone chips on the front, always drive in reverse!

So very true Dking! If you look in the detailling section of the forums, there's lots of product talk. I dont use the $50 bottle of wax on mine, nor do I use any convertible top protectant. I use expensive wash though, and Mothers products for paint cleaner and polish. I don't wax...polish only, its a personal preference. That Red you have looks killer with a good polish. Welcome to the forum BTW!
