Default Hey - New X-Type Owner In Scotland

Hi All,

Well I have wanted the X-Type for a number of years, and finally decided the time was right to go out and get myself one... 2 days later I spotted an absolute bargain that I could make mine, and drove it away! (2.5 V6 AWD, 2001 model)

The engine runs great, and it definitely feels as though the jaguar is trying to get out of the bonnet when you push the accelerator! What a great feeling! Anyway...

It will be good to see you all in the forums soon

Mike

Welcome (again) Mike,

Good to see the various replies to your thread question in the X-Type section show you've nothing to worry about with the exhaust.

Remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Enjoy the X-Type and the forum.

With smoke and steam I think Mike's got the rare James Watt Memorial Edition X type.
Do Mina do high performance funnels?

I hear it caused a sensation when he parked at the station yesterday:

Every Jaguar I've had from the old straight six XK engines in the 1970's right up to the current 4.2 V8 throws out steam on starting until it's warmed up.

Haha! Thanks for the welcomes guys!

I am not going to lie, I am a total novice when it comes to the in-depth mechanical workings of cars!

Hopefully through reading posts on here it will help build the knowledge, and I think with my new toy I may need to to be more self sufficient in car repair to avoid some hefty garage bills!

Thanks again, all!

Mike
