My names Daniel, I'm a South African, living in Kuwait - hence the deep desert.

I've recently become the (so far) happy owner of a 2003 3.0 S-Type.

Unfortunately, the general population here do not look after their vehicles, so I will be picking your minds often!

I can see you are 'mind picking' is the S-Type tech forum already so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

At the moment, I can fill the S-Type for 4.5 Dinar - thats 9 Pounds, 15 Dollars.... Petrol costs nothing here.

 

There has to be a downside - I'll bet parts cost a fortune.

Not really....had the brake pads replaced on my Mitsubishi Pajero last month - 60 dinar for parts and labour, including setting of hand brake and an oil service. 200 dollars?
