Default Hi, jagtony reporting in

Just like to introduce myself. I am Tony from the UK. I have a S Type Sport 3ltr V6 petrol and a 1962 Series 1 E Type Roadster.
I have owned the S Type for 11year and have to say it has been a great car except for the electrics which are more annoying that stopping the car from running.

My current electrical problems are the electronic park brake fault message which i am failing to solve even though the park brake works fine. I also have the parking aids problem that have not worked for a few years. I will get around to fixing these one day. But my first problem is getting rid of the EPB fault message. My other problem is the doors keep locking me in and I have to hit the open door switch below the radio.

So looking forward to any help solving the problems

Regards

Tony

Welcome to the forum Tony,

Good to have you here with us at Jaguar forums.

I can see you've already found your way to the S-Type section with the park brake issue. Follow this link E type ( XK-E ) - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the E-Type section for help, advice and information.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top of each a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the UK Region section by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/uk-68/
to find other members in this country.

Enjoy the forum.

Graham

Tony,

We've just had a re-design of the forum layout today so my 'automatic pilot' isn't working and I'm having to think like a newbie again tonight!

If you get lost, post back here for directions.

(I bought an X300 in Moreton on the Wirral a few years ago. It was a great car.)

Thanks for the warm welcome everybody. It is nice to know I have international help out there. It's a bit like Thunder Birds, now all I need is Virgil to fly in from International Rescue with Thunder Bird 1 and fix the car. (Maybe you are not as old as me and don't know who Thunderbirds are?)
GGG, Moreton, that is quite close to me, glad to hear the car was a good one.
