Smile Hi, New Member here.... :)

Hi, I am a proud and very happy owner of a 2006 4.2 XK , I have to admit, totally luscious drive, and so pleased for the 5 years I have owned it. I used to have Toyota Supras from 1989 up til I bought the gorgeous big cat !!
To be honest, I have never done forums and things online, therefore very very new to such. I have been having a few issues these last 3 weeks, so thought I would give it a go to see if anyone out there can offer sensible thoughts in such matters.
Other than the Jag, my other interests are fine food and quality wine.... though I will say... no wine on Jag days !! hahahaa
I hope to possibly add a photo of the luscious big cat soon, but to be honest I have already seen perfect looking ones here, so well played those proud owners too !!

Well....... I'm Gordon, I welcome any messages, and hope to find some useful info along the way as well as perhaps getting to know some great people too !!

Hello, Gordon,
Don't be shy about posting photos of your car. Mine for example, has several blemishes only I know about and that do Not show in pictures.
Besides. We all enjoy seeing other members' cars.

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.

Gordon,

I had a 2007 XK 4.2 for four years. It was the most reliable Jaguar I've ever had and there's been several in more than forty five years. Only issues were a worn bush on the RH rear suspension upper wishbone and a failed passenger protection system sensor.

My current 2014 XK 5.0 has already had a four day "holiday" at a Jaguar Dealer in northern Spain following a burned out injector and a three week stint in my local Stratstone Jaguar for warranty repairs to corrosion on the RH front wing.

Unusually for Jaguar, at introduction the XK 4.2 was absolutely right. Problems only started with the introduction of the 5.0 litre.

Graham

Hi Graham,
I have had thoughts of getting the 5.0ltr, however I admit I am so pleased generally with my existing that I can't convince myself to upgrade. I use it daily, its perfect internally, external has the common little blemishes, however I will get those sorted one day for sure.
Yours sure looks nice there I must say, so I can't say I am not teased and tempted again now !! :-P
