Default Hope you're having a wicked good day, up here in New Hampshire to the Jag community!

Hey all! Quick intro,
Never been huge into cars, more of a general welder and laborer. Not car stupid, but certainly not car smart. So last weekend I shot on up to north country NH and picked up a 95 Jaguar XJR Supercharged. Ran sound enough, but expected the problems to come. No jag dealers in my area, no good technicians really, just me and my buddy trying to restore it to some well deserved beauty.
So day one, we replaced the transmission mount which was junk. Pulled apart in chunks, literally. Couldn't find an available job, so we rigged it good and tight. My buddies a 10+ year tech, and he said it's better than nothing. So we did it up as best we could so it wouldn't rattle around. Then we played with the passenger door exterior handle, the ball in joint the bar attaches to is worn so we rigged that job up and paneled her together again.
Buffed it out, making it look pretty
Only filled with 93 supreme
Went to go pick up a kenwood today, stopped to fill the tank and wash her. Filled it up, took it through the supreme gentle wash at circle k.
Pulled aside to check my lights and the clean. Idled low, real low. I shut it down. Checked my stuff. Turned it back on. And dud. It rattles good, the supercharger is connected tight (from what I can tell in the parking lot of the gas station) and it turns. Hits like 200 rpm (yes, 200 not 2000) and drops on me. Won't stay turned over. Ideas?
Thanks!
Mike
