Arrow I used to think my RX7 would put me in jail... Then I bought a Jag.

Greetings, all I have lurked a bit prior to joining, but now I figure it would be best to start contributing and participating.

I recently bought an '05 S-Type V6 3.0, still trying to wrap my mind around the myriad of options that existed for these cars... Not without problems, mind you, but she certainly isn't much of a problem child (well, nowhere near the level my rotary is).

I bought her at 68k miles, and just returned from a cross-country drive and vacation back home to Indiana for a week, and as much as I hate to say it, while my FC S5 convertible RX7 is cute, and fun to drive, I fear that post-trip, this kitty will be daddy's brand new bag.

Looking forward to maybe having some of the nagging questions I've got resolved, and contributing answers and help as I can - so here's to yet another car addiction

Cheers !

Welcome to the forum Jake,

Nothing better than a reformed lurker! No need for a section link as you already know your way around.

Congratulations on the S-Type. I can tell you need no convincing how good a car it is.

Enjoy the forum and stay out of jail.

Graham

Welcome to the best forum on the web Jake.

I too had an RX-7 that almost put me in jail.. Tried to set a new land speed record from Chicago to Minneapolis at night. Didn't turn out so well. Fun car, just too easy to go too fast.

I hope you enjoy your S Type as much as I do mine. Don't hesitate to ask any questions. Many knowledgeable people here.

Hi,
Yea these S Types are special, even though sometimes they just need more attention. Love your black S type, hope you enjoy yours as much as I enjoy mine.
When I'm going through trouble with her, I just remember how amazing she is when she is running, and that just makes me smile

Thank you all for your warm welcomes - I have been offline for a short vacation up to the midwest to visit some old friends (Go Bucks! ) and I drove the Jaguar, and loved every mile of it.

On to more posts, and happy motoring!

Jake,

We thought you were in jail.

Good to hear you enjoyed the vacation. S-Type must have run sweetly or I'm sure you'd have mentioned it.

So where are the pics.............?
