Inherited an XK8 Convertible
Thanks for the replies...
I just brought the car home from Washington state, and the car was a dream on the trip - comfortable, fatigue-free (it really makes a long driving trip better when a car has such precise steering, good handling and confidence-inspiring brakes), great gas mileage and long range.
My wife and I find it to be the best car we've ever had, or driven, for that matter.

Before the hot weather starts, we will be preemptively changing the hydraulic hose to the top latch, to avoid the dreaded "green shower."
I own a auto repair shop, so I have no delusions that any car is trouble-free.
When I picked this car up earlier this week, I noticed that it had started doing the "10 minute stop and then rough idle upon restart thing" with the accompanying misfire codes and the P1316 code, but a can of BG44K seems to have ended that. I couldn't find any vacuum leaks.
BTW, at about 20,000 miles my Dad was down visiting me and at that time I installed a set of Hankook K110 Evo V12 (or whatever they're called) tires and that has proven to be a great choice; they still have a lot of tread left (now it has 45,000 miles on it) and they are quiet and smooth riding. When these wear out, I'll most likely put them on again.
Thanks for the comments!

I kind of envy you guys that have a choice of tyres. On original rims, I only have one choice for the correct size/rating on the 92 XJ40 (Pirelli 225/65/15), could buy a whole new car for the price of a set of 4!
I just got an '03 XK8 Convertible - I am looking to replace the speakers. Are the subs 6"? What about the fronts? Looks like they are 3 way speakers.
