Hi there, new to Jag ownership, new to the forum. I purchased the car about a month ago. Some of the expected things to not work well after 34 years don’t and I am working to fix them. First successful repair was the installation of a new gas tank selector switch. The antenna mast was not working when I bought the car. The mast is junk and after taking apart the rear tail and inspecting the antenna motor in the trunk I can say that system is just not going to work and finding a replacement is not easy. I unhooked the power to the motor as it would just make really loud noises. I thought a simple solution would be a hidden antenna since the antenna cable is right in the trunk. I would like to put the hidden antenna in the back window. He antenna also requires power, is there anything in the trunk behind the rear seat that I could splice into to power the antenna? I am a novice and learning as I go. Would be grateful for any help!

I suggest adding your car details to your Sig, via the CP tab, so others know you have a Series 3 car. The tank selection switch triggered me.
