Default Intro 2005 s-type

Hello, just introducing myself. This weekend I purchased a 2005 s-type and am going to have a couple projects as I work on cleaning her up. 1st projects will be replacing some worn interior parts and either replacing the yellowed headlight lenses or cleaning/buffing them so have already started reading through some of the threads. Great advice so far(loved the heating the headlight unit to pop the lense out tip), very helpful-

Thanks!

Louis

Welcome Louis to the forum! Great car you had just purchased. Before you "oven" the headlights, look in the detail section or a 3M kit with pics that will be better than the oven route. Be sure to post some pics and see you in the S Section.

I was bored heres the link: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/e...ics-wow-42119/

Another note, go to user control (User CP) and put your year and engine, model to if you wish in your signature

Welcome to the forum!

Oh one other thing you need to put your car details in your signature. I am speaking of the Year, Make & Model. Without it you may not get the input you are looking for.

Please take a moment and read the information provided to you explaining the rules. Be patient and enjoy the site.

just an update. I ended up trying the 3M polishing kit before replacing the lenses and after about 3 hours of sanding and polishing my headlights they are good as new. I honestly did not think they could come out that clear since they were so yellowed.

Thanks!

Hi Jim, thanks for giving me full forum access. The lenses now look great on my car and I'm working on my next jag project, replacing my DCCV valve. I've printed alot of great info and want to tackle it next. Am I able to download the JTIS manual that I've read so much about at this point?

Thanks again,

Louis
