Hello to Jag Lovers from Orlando Florida:

I have a 2005 S Type with a 4.2L V 8. I recently discovered Jaguar Forums and hope to get insights on any problems that may come up in the future. I have also used RockAuto to buy replacement parts to delver to my mechanic who use to work at a Jaguar Dealership.

I have resolved several issues with the help on Forum Members -

1) repair to front light leveling assemblies without replacing the entire units that the dealer push.
2) $200 saved replacing front rotors after getting brake pads which caused a shake

I now have a problem with my door locks - soon as i lock vehicle with FOB or KEY, car immediately unlocks and the Dealer estimates a $500 to $600 repair. SO I NEED MEMBER HELP / FIX SUGGESTIONS

Good to have you here with us at Jaguar forums. The door lock issue could be either a faulty door lock micro switch or a door module. I suggest you post details in S-Type section for advice from the model experts.
