Default Introduction

Hi everyone.
I would like to introduce myself to the forum. My name is Graham, I live in Gloucestershire, retired and I have in August 21 purchased a 2006 XK (X150 ) 4.2ltr convertible, absolutely love the car.
I am in need of some help with it all ready as I was away all of September and very stupidly did not think about the battery on the XK, hence it is flat on my return.
I have got into the boot and located the positive terminal behind the plastic cover and I assume the negative is the small silver terminal located up by the rear light.
When I connected my trickle charger up and switched on, the lights on the car just flicker on and off and i don`t know how to stop this.
Very grateful for comments and advise if any of you have gone through the same sort of thing.
Many thanks in anticipation.
Graham

Welcome to the Forums.

Since the battery is flat, disconnect the -ve cable, and charge the battery that way.

Good luck.

Welcome to the forums Graham F,

Grant has already explained how to get your X150 back to life so no need for a repetition.

Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/xk-xkr-x150-33/ to the X150 forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues. You can also use the UK & Eire Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/uk-eire-68/ to find other members in your region.

Please read the guidance for new members ( https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/n...ned-up-241802/ ) which answers many of the most frequent questions about getting started.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham
